@MaxThom I could be wrong, but it look like you're trying to install the plugin in Visual Studio and not Visual Studio Code. Any chance that could explain your error?

MaxThom commented 2 years ago

oups youre right. How do I download the beta on vscode ?

jakobrosenberg commented 2 years ago

@MaxThom you can either open the file directly from the VSC explorer or go to the extensions tab and then click the elipsis menu. πŸ™‚

@marcbeltman v1.1.15 has be released and should be updated automatically.

Can you confirm if this fixed it for you?

marcbeltman commented 2 years ago

yes but the connection between the gpy and the computer sometimes drops and then reconnects.

This sounds like a hardware issue. Can you try with a different device or computer?

drewp commented 2 years ago

I got past the serialport error with sudo npm install -g electron-rebuild.

I just updated VScode to version 1.66 and this issue started happening. Installed the latest Node.js LTS version and this resolved it
