- Consider only wind turbines with AGL height higher than the 1st percentile (~200 feet). Total of 4,242 observations dropped (3,066 turbines with missing zipcode, 613 with missing AGL height, 522 with height lower than 1st percentile, and 3 with implausible construction date). Notice that standard turbines have total height of ~400 feet (source), as confirmed in the data.
- After collapsing at the zipcode-month level I have 4,576 observations.
- Match at zipcode-month level with house prices keeping all observations (independently of whether house prices or turbines exist). Define a wind farm as a zipcode-month with aggregate number of wind turbines at least equal to 10.
