Help not showing up on Ubuntu 17.04 #51

Open nthiery opened 6 years ago

nthiery commented 6 years ago

Configuration: laby 0.6.4-1 installed by apt on Unbuntu 17.04, running under Unity, french.

Symptom: the help box is empty. One can see the usual "Aide" title on the lower left of the window, but there is no text box below. It seems to be independent off the programming language or window size.

Configuration: laby 0.6.4-2 installed via apt on Ubuntu 17.10, running under Gnome Classic, metacity

Game language chosen: Python

Symptom: Same as nthiery. The help box below the game shows "Help:" but with no text box below. Some times there is no "Help:" section. This makes the commands for the game hard to figure out.

Thank you for the report. I have no idea what could be the reason. After a very very long time, I am trying to make quick update on laby. I've committed some changes so that laby now uses gtk3. I hope this issue (which I coudn't reproduce myself) will disappear.

I'd be grateful to anyone who had this issue before, if they could check whether it does or doesn't disappear in the latest git revision.
