Hi @fouerghi, thanks for the question. I can't be certain of what the cause is without seeing your data, but a self-relatedness > 1 is expected if that individual's parents are related to one another. I assume that you are calculating this from a genealogy/pedigree? If so, then you should be able to check that the parents are related. If they are not meant to be related, then this result may be a symptom of a misspecified pedigree.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there were any explanations of how coefficient of relationship could be greater than 1. I am getting values of 1.5 genealogical relatedness between an individual and itself and I am not sure where this could be coming from.
