I'm not too familiar with scrypt-jane. Could you link the branch you're talking about?
Gona missing: https://github.com/veox/sgminer/tree/scrypt-jane.
I will need to find the source, I think I still have it.
Here you go, saved from april 2014. https://www.mediafire.com/?oyro4zxf6iz8wq6
this is a working version made from veox branch, I have been using it on UltraCoin. you have the source plus a working binary.
Thanks I'll see what I can do when I have a minute to spare.
It'd be interesting to see if we could add this, but doesn't -jane cause a shitload of HW errors inherently?
There are some HW errors, but I get about 1-5 per card every hour, which is negligible.
BTW, the official scrypt-jane miner is this one:
The branch is available with git history from other devs' repos, e.g. https://github.com/troky/sgminer/tree/scrypt-jane.
@ystarnaud can you make this happen? ;D
I'm also interested in merging scrypt-jane support, with 8 gb cards even high nfactor coins are minable pretty well. I'll give a shot at the sources here and see if they give me any good results, maybe i'll even try to merge the kernel to the main branch. but i'm not familiarized with opencl and the specifics of the architecture to debug any problems, so it'll be a blind try.
This algo is dead I think.
Hello!
Is it possible to merge the Scrypt-Jane branch into sgminer 5.0 ?
I know the Scrypt-Jane branch is working because I am using it. Just needs to be adapted I suppose.
