Some code examples upset the formatted page:

Alain's code snippets overflow to the right
Table 2 in Robin's is a bit... full
Table 3 in Robin's, likewise
Table 6, ditto
Table 7, ditto squared
Octavian's SQF paper, examples 9, 10, 18

In my fork, programlisting gets a background color. The XSLT works out whether the listing is column-wide or wider. Using an AH Formatter extension, any programlisting with lines wider than page-width gets its font size reduced until the listing no longer overflows the page-width. The next step would be to automatically break lines that are too far over page-width (using a different extension), but I haven't got that far yet.
