Under the heading "Public Auction Information", we currently have the auction held date set to be 44 days after the lien notice was mailed, and always at 5 PM. Is this the correct behavior?

No, there is no standard time for holding the auctions. Maybe in the account settings there can be a box to set the time desired on your auction dates. And the minimum time period time period is 44 days after mailing the lien notice if the vehicle record was found in State records. I always use the minimum but some people aren't as confident in what they're doing and give an extra few days just to be safe. Also, out of state vehicles need to wait at least 70 days after the mail is sent. So it would be good to maybe have an option for in - state or out of state vehicles when you get to the lien notice portion of the procedure. They could default to the minimum number of days needed for each option, maybe with an over ride box to enter in the extra number of days if they want.
