v0.8 Bugfix for Receiving Results

Fixed #19 Bug: Search Sometimes Never Returns, Timeout Does Not Work

Known issue: This fix is not 100% clean. Search still might fail to receive the results, but at least it will timeout now.

I recommend to use this fix in combination with a retry loop: https://github.com/sgrottel/EverythingSearchClient/blob/116416cfc2b526b7a43d3b94f64ef14ef66cc036/ExampleApp/Program.cs#L66-L72

v0.7 Service Control

The new class ServiceControl allows to query the status, to start, and to stop the "Everything" service.

Bug fix:

  • Application using the SearchClient and running with elevated privileges (as Admin), can now receive results from Everything.
  • A ReceiveTimeout is now triggered if no results are received, to avoid infinite wait times.
