March is over, April is here 😄 Hope life is swell for you all! I’m thankful March felt A LOT slower than January and February. I feel like I’ve been able to breathe lately.
I’ve been a bit more focused on certain goals rather than others so I’ll share that here:
Achievements
Here, I’ll share the goal followed by the related achievement of the month after the arrow.
On March 22nd, I spoke at Byteconf JavaScript on “The Powers of CSS-in-JS”. It was such a wonderful experience! 😍 The way they do conferences is online, streamed on Twitch. They have all the speakers record their talks before hand and then the day of, the speakers can participate in the Twitch chat to talk with the audience.
Write 6 articles-> Implementing GraphQL with a REST API ✍️
An article I had been working on since December has finally made it’s way to the public eye! 🙌🏼
It took me a while to finish but Contentful published my blog post “Implementing GraphQL with a REST API” 😄 I had taken it on because I wanted to create a POC to convince my team to start using GraphQL on the frontend.
Funny coincidence, our team is considering using GraphQL for the next project so writing this helped prep me!
Intellectual:
Launch 2 projects on Product Hunt-> Started working on mentored.dev
This past month, I’ve spent a decent amount of time on the weekends working on this “gamified” learning platform I’m building.
I still need to add a lot but I’m happy I started because I’ve learned A LOT including things like state machines, animating with SVGs and TypeScript. Safe to say it’s good progress on achieving my goal of launching a product on Product Hunt 😄
