Create new model + textures for use on the stand-alone Modular Heat Shield part. Include texture switching to change between variants (meshed or paneled).
Adapt existing CM models to use the new heat-shield model. Add texture-switch module for the heat-shield, separate from the CM body.
Rough model has been created. Domed underbody with geometry conformant to the ADPT-1-1-VA.
Upper portion (where the pod attaches) will contain some detail mesh / attach point geometry
UVs mapped 1/2 mirrored, left = bottom, right = top, detail bits around the outside
Should be able to easily generate the heat-shield material texture with SP.
At least two texture sets should be made; one with tile/panel lines, one without.
Recolorable textures? -- should probably just use the prebuilt textures from SP for better fidelity/visuals
Legacy diffuse/spec textures also need to be created.
Over time the existing SC pods should be reworked to not include any heat-shield/lower attach point geometry -- this should be added from stand-alone models through MODEL nodes.
