Support for World Racing 2 Championship Edition #49

Hello.

I am sykes01, i writing this issue because i have a problem, i tried to download mods/addons for the game World Racing 2 Championship Edition, but was unsuccessful.

The error message i got is "ERROR! Download item 3026579802 failed (Failure)."

The following method/solution i tried is not work for me

  1. Delete the steamaps folder and try again.
  2. Log in with real account, mine, (but soon i realized i need to own the game on steam.)

Downloading anonymously wont work either, so im out of solutions, i tried to find a solution yesterday by searching on google, but nothing.

But then i started to think that the game is not supported yet, so is there any chance for this game to be supported by steamcmd? Because there are mods for it only on steam workshop, and it would be nice if people could download mods for this game with steamcmd, just like for Maximum Action, People Playground, Garry's Mod, Serious Sam Fusion, Serious Sam HD TFE & TSE, Serious Sam 3 BFE, and for many other games.

shadoxxhd don't have any control over SteamCMD as that is an official software developed by Valve. The steamworkshopdownloader is an unofficial application made so that we can download mods/files from Steam even if we don't own them specifically on Steam. It has to use SteamCMD to download the mods/files.

If mods can't be downloaded for a game, it's most likely that the developers of the game haven't set it to be open for external downloads. I might be wrong, but I don't think it's on by default. You'de have to ask the developers of that game.

As @ELFswe said, only the developers of a game can add support for anonymous downloads (without game ownership).
