no no of course I should have provided the format before. The authentication token I was provided when I created one is of the following format: xoxp-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxxxxxx-xxxxxx
Does that look correct?
That is the correct format. Can you try uninstalling/reinstalling once again? Slack recently changed some stuff with their tokens, it may be fixed automatically now.

The api key dialog box never dismisses. Cancel doesn't work either.
