HLS + FairPlay: black screen on macOS Safari after ~1-2 seconds, works flawlessly in iOS

What did you do?

1. Open the page, click "play" on player with correctly loaded frame from the stream.
2. Just wait 1-2 seconds.
3. Black screen, audio works (unencrypted of course).

What did you expect to happen?

1. Video to go without any interruption.

What actually happened? The player is just black as a whole.

I have responded to your email, with a test video.

I think the problem might be Fairplay is forcing HDCP in this case and its video output doesn't support it. In my case it has happened to me several times with some USB-C to HDMI cables that did not have HDCP.

Wow, wouldn't even suspect such a thing... I use Dell's W19TBS and after disconnecting - it works 😱 I'm sorry to bother then. Now I need to find why the player doesn't work on first load (after refresh it works ok ;) No obvious logs for now.

I have a side question - are you actively maintaining shaka-packager and/or do you accept changes there? For now it's ok to keep small change locally, but I have few improvements that I can rewrite with quality code instead of stupid patches and push as a PR.
