Provide a way for users to constantly-sync their MAL lists #15

One of the killer features of MAL is the updater, and lots of people like to use it to update their anime lists. Having a way to periodically pull updates from MAL automatically would make for a much nicer experience.

An additional feature - having the sync push changes as well as pull (would require MAL credentials) might be a good idea. May not want to store MAL credentials, just prompt user every so often.

Would this be okay with MAL; as you could be seen as a competing site.

I don't see why not. If anything, providing users the option of having their MAL updates pulled over to AR would be a MAL-friendly change.
