Write a Mono.Cairo Cookbook #10

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Benefits: improved documentation
Requirements: familiarity with cairo, C# and Mono.Cairo API

Although we have complete documentation for Mono.Cairo on
www.go-mono.com/docs, this is a reference documentation.

We would like to have a "ported" version of the Cairo Cookbook from C and
Python to be translated into C# and Mono.Cairo API calls that are suitable
for people that are using a .NET language to use.

Links:
  http://cairographics.org/cookbook/
  http://go-mono.com/docs/monodoc.ashx?tlink=0@N%3aCairo

Deliverables:
A well-written, spell-checked, MediaWiki HTML document, with examples in C
and PNG images of the examples embedded in the document.

Time limit:
 One week from claim date.

Should we take the Cairo Cookbook as it is, and port only the code example to
C#,
or do we need to write a new cookbook with our own examples and "recipes"?

This is so unfair! I'm wasting too much time on this task...
I don't like what you are doing... I really like contributing to the open
source...
but you are acting in such a selfish way... I've written 10 comments since the
last
time you were here to mark this task as claimed...

I apologize that no one has helped you with this. It appears that anyone
really able
to help you is missing in action, and I doubt it will get any better with the
holidays upon us. Please provide PNG images of your 5 translated programs and
I will
consider the task complete.

Once again, I am really sorry that you did not get the support you needed.

Fixed your name, I apologize for not asking.

From the GHOP FAQ:
2. What do the values in the "Status" column of the task list mean?

   1. Open: This task has not yet been claimed.
   2. Claimed: This task has been claimed and someone is working on it.
   3. ActionNeeded: Work on this task must be submitted for review within 24 hours.
   4. Closed: Work on this task has been successfully completed.

So that's what we've been going with until someone at Google tells us
differently. :)
