Upgrade Maemo-sharp bindings #19

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Benefits: development possibilities for Maemo 4 platform
Requirements: C#, Gtk-Sharp, Maemo and Scratchbox

Maemo-sharp is Mono bindings to Maemo libraries (Nokia devices), actually
we have bindings working for Maemo 3.x stuff, a new version of Maemo is now
available, Maemo 4, some small changes need to be done to best fit the new
API release.

The changes in API must be tracked and GAPI Xaml files adjusted to this
changes. We have some samples that must be adjusted if needed, creation of
new samples is also very good to show some new Maemo features.

Deliverables:
A well-written, tested with 3 new small sample applications. All old
samples must be also tested working.

Time limit:
 One week from claim date.

Once my other task clears, I might be able to make an attempt at this, but I can
almost assure you that I cannot do it in one week (my course load is somewhat
insane
at the moment and it makes it hard to commit to deadlines). I am interested in
this
task as I am a big fan of my n800 and such.

As long as it gets done, I don't think the deadline is a big deal for us. It
is a
guideline to how long the task submitter thinks the task will take, however
different
people estimate differently based on their own experience.

Hey, as jpobst said, it is just a guideline, how long I estimate.

How long you estimate to finish the task?

Depends, I should probably wait a week and if it is still open after I finish my
exams look into it. The big thing is that I just want to make sure that I am
not
saying I will deliver in a week and that week happens to have a 15 page paper or
something appearing out of nowhere (happened far too many times this year
already).
