Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The MonoDevelop IDE is coming up for a release and is sorely in need of
documentation for new users. The page at
http://monodevelop.com/Documentation contains a list of planned topics for
tutorials; the contestant should pick one and complete it.

Timescale: 2 days

Requirements: a detailed tutorial for one of the proposed topics, including
step-by-step instructions and screenshots, written in MediaWiki format.

Okay entereczek, I forked you a task at
http://code.google.com/p/google-highly-open-participation-mono/issues/detail?id=
40.

If anyone else wants to write docs, make your claim here and I'll create you a
personal task.

I'd take "Refactoring Operations" topic.
"I claim this task." :-)

Dan: Certainly. I'll create the task once your current one is closed (the GHOP
rules
say you can only have one at a time).

A couple of notes for contestants:

1) Please email lluis to get a http://www.monodevelop.com wiki account so that
you
can edit your tutorial in-place.
2) Please make sure that you have the right to any text, images or code that
you add
to the wiki.

m.j.hutchinson: sorry, but I'd better drop this task and take another one, as
tasks
related to coding seem to be more interesting to me at the moment.

Dan: Sure. Have you seen the Welcome Page coding one? :)

collin.doering: I created Issue 78 for you.

BTW, I'm not sure of the exact deadline for the end of GHOP. The time for
claiming
tasks may have passed, and if so, I apologise for not answering faster. However,
contributions would still be very much welcomed :)

Oh, the deadline for starting tasks is January 22. For some reason I thought it
was
15th. No worries then :)
