Swith F-Spot UI from glade to stetic #47

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
The F-Spot project now uses glade and libglade to build its UI. As we now
have a monodevelop solution to edit, develop and compile, it could be great
to be able to modify the UI with stetic from within monodevelop

This task will be considered completed if:
- a patch to use stetic from within monodevelop is provided
 or:
- a list of the blockers in f-spot code that prevents to make the switch in
a reasonable amount of time (40 work hour)

requires familiarity with:
Monodevelop
Stetic
Glade
F-Spot: http://f-spot.org

Does F-Spot have a complete MonoDevelop solution file?

I couldn't get it to load correctly in MD. MD loads just a couple of source
files,
not all of them.

you need MD > 0.17

a few (late additions) files may be missing, just add them

so what has to be done is have mono develop's built in gui designer be used to
create
f-spots gui? AFAIK stecic is just a front end for designing glade XML files..is
this
correct? So then all that would have to be done is to have monodevelop be able
to do
it all..if so...

I claim this task
