Moonlight/Silverlight project and file templates for MonoDevelop #49

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
One of the hot new technologies in the Mono Project is Moonlight, a Free
implementation of Microsoft's Silverlight web plugin. However, MonoDevelop,
Mono's IDE, has minimal support for developing with Moonlight. Now that
Mono 1.2.6 is shipping with the Moonlight's smcs compiler and the upcoming
release of MonoDevelop is capable of using it, this needs to be corrected.

Deliverables:
* templates for creating Moonlight projects for both 1.0 and 1.1, both
empty and with sample content
* templates for creating xaml files, both empty and with sample content.
* any other file templates that your research indicates are useful to
Moonlight developers
* a simple overlay icon for Moonlight projects (a small crescent moon). If
you can't draw, don't worry; it doesn't need to be perfect right now.

The deliverables should be contained in a simple addin. If you have any
questions about how to do this, please ask!

Timescale: 5 days
