Menu intercepts key input #14

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Compile Paint.Mono (./configure; make; sudo make install)
Run Paint.Mono
Choose the Text tool
Press 'H'.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of writing 'h' in the image, the 'Help' menu is open.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Revision 62
Linux Ubuntu 8.10
Mono 2.0(no, it isn't 1.9.1)

This is very annoying and makes Paint.Mono very hard to use for text output.
