Why extension not installed after downloading config from gist ? #1342

Why my extension not installed from my gist config, if i closed my vs code, and I'm open back my vs code, my extension from gist config not installed, and I try again download setting from sync-setting and this is same don't work, can anyone help ?

I have the same problem, I've tried Code OSS, Microsoft VSCode and VSCode insiders, no one works

Same problem here, Before I deleted everything of vscode for a clean install I synced my gist, even it says "last edit from today" I can barely manipulate that gist (can't edit and make it public, the page freezes) because it says This gist exceeds the recommended number of files (~10). To access all files, please clone this gist. To share more.

I can "recover" my configuration if I donwload my gist as zip and copy all the content to AppData/Roaming/Code/User but I can't seem to make VSCode to install all extensions from my User config. I know that in sync/extensions/ is a lastSyncextensions.json but how to install all of them?

I am also having this issue on Linux. Tried both Code OSS and VSCode version 1.67.2-1, clean installs. Setting sync is version 3.4.3. This extension worked fine for me before but with this clean install I have noticed it is not working anymore.

I was able to fix this by using these instructions.
