Cpu usage is high, but the maintainer looks like none activity in a long long long long time #1360

It took me a lot of time to close and open the extensions one by one to find out which one was the problem。

Are there any alternatives?

VS Code Settings Sync (official VS Code built-in mechanism)

Is VS Code Settings Sync the same as the Settings Sync extension? No, the Settings Sync extension by Shan Khan uses a private Gist on GitHub to share your VS Code settings across different machines and is unrelated to the VS Code Settings Sync.

I admire VS Code for acknowledging this independent extension. I could not find a reciprocal acknowledgement anywhere. Not knowing this wasted my time. There are use cases favoring each alternative, based on one's needs.

This may be a matter of miscommunication, but one is left with the impression that this omission is deliberate.
