What version of LGPL applies to this code? #7

I am trying to determine which version of the LGPL applies to this code. I
hope it is not LGPL V3 because that effectively makes the code and it's
concepts unusable for anybody trying to use it in my (and most) biz
environment.

I am not a lawyer, so it took me awhile to figure this out. Based on what I
read (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNU_Lesser_General_Public_License), and
what people in the legal profession concur with, is that a software distributed
under LGPL (currently version 3) can be linked by any other software (whether
proprietary or not) without any legal implications for the user.

So, if you want to use the yooreeka library in your software and distribute it
under your own terms, you can do so as long as the end result is not
"derivative work".

I think that it makes sense to contribute back to the library any improvements
or extensions that you might make. If you just want to use the JAR file and run
a NaiveBayes classification then there are no legal implications or other
obligations on your part -- go ahead and do it.

I think that resolves the issue, in my mind. For any further instructions on
that matter, please, consult with a legal professional. The license for this
software is LGPL version 3.

Thanks for your interest.
