forgot to say - version of sipdroid was built from source code svn rev 481
also using PBXes.com for the SIP server, just talking between two extensions.

Same happens here with Sipdroid 1.4.6 beta & Android 2.1 on HTC Desire. I'm
using
PBXes.org.

It is very annoying not to be able to use the mute button in conf calls.

Yes. I confirm this is still happening on latest sipdroid. I'm now running HTC
Desire on froyo. It also doesn't matter which SIP provider you may be using:
when you press mute, it stops sending RTP packets as opposed to sending packets
with no audio.

This is a problem that only sipdroid has, doesn't seem to complicated to fix,
but it seems like it is not in the developers' priority list... :(

Just to add one comment: it may actually take a little longer than 30 seconds
on mute for the SIP provider to disconnect you. I tested it using draytel.org.
After establishing the call you put on mute and after exactly 1 minute your
call is disconnected.
