What soundcard to you have (make, model, chip)?
CMI8738/8768 (MSI motherboard onboard audio)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. CMI Control Panel Audio Test
2. Exchange Front/Rear Channel Enabled
3. Left Channel Enabled Sound Test comes from Right. Right channel
enabled, no sound at all.

What is the expected output? What happens instead?
Each speaker should have audio coming out for the respective speaker
channel being tested.

What version of the driver are you using? On what operating system? What
version of the operationg system are you using (32 or 64 bit)?
1.2.4 - Vista 32 bit.

What ports of the soundcard are affected by the bug (e.g. SPDIF, Mic-In)?
Analog Line Out

Please provide any additional information below.

that's rather odd - what channel configuration are you using, and what's the
exact model of your mainboard?

MS-6565 (GNB Max) is the motherboard.

Exact Config
Enable PCM DAC: Enabled
Exchange Front Rear Jacks: Disabled - I stated this incorrectly above because I
had
not hit apply before playing the test tone
Line-In: Don't Route
Channel Configuration: Stereo (does the same thing on all settings)

Second Tab
The only option enabled is Enable Spdif-out. If I disable it I get no audio
which is
odd since I am using the analog output.

Formats
Only 44.1khz pcm is enabled.

Driver
1.24
Hardware Rev: 55
Base Address: 9C00
MPU401Address: 0000

With the 1.25 driver, using the windows sound control panel.

When testing with Stereo, Left Channel comes out the right speaker.
When testing with Quad, Sound Comes out the right speaker when rear left is
active
When testing with 5.1, sound comes out the right speaker when the center
channel is
active.

Nothing ever comes out of the left speaker.

After installing 1.25, the "CMI8738/8768 Control Panel" say "The system cannot
find
the file specified." I am not sure if that is by design at this point or a
remnant
of 1.24 that should have been removed.

The message suggests that a driver other than the one provided at this page is
installed.

Does the left speaker work with the official drivers? Also, is there a pin
header on your mainboard which
can be used to re-route the audio lines to the jacks?
