We could deploy to Heroku or DigitalOcean.

I was planning to host with Hetzner, a professional-grade German hoster. Their new cloud hosting has great prices (the smallest instance goes for 3€, the equivalent would already cost 10$ on DigitalOcean) with rock-solid performance and service.

With Dokku it's like a private Heroku for a fraction of the cost.

Could also ask DO or Heroku if they'd like to sponsor us, though. ;)

I'm experienced with Dokku, could help you with that. I also have a server available, can host.

Are you planning on SPA or server-side rendering?

SPA would be overkill. Maybe something like turbolinks could come into play at some point. But server-side rendering is simple, really fast and can easily be cached.

No problem, but no help with server-side rendering from me either. I'm used to VueJS SPA (no Nuxt) :slightly_smiling_face:

I have lots of DigitalOcean servers, and lots of Heroku apps. Heroku is cheap!

I'm also a huge Vue fan. It's overkill for this right now, but in the future if we needed a SPA (not that I'm saying we do), I would definitely go with Vue.

I'm not familiar with Hetzner, but I'm not opposed to it either.
