Captions seem to be one slide ahead of their pictures. Try "gold".

I wasn't aware that the captions were meant to be associated with the photos? Is that really necessary/desired?

They don't have too be, but I actually think they're funnier when they go together. Having them separate (and supposedly less relevant) to the photos isn't really that funny.
