Does anything feel unusual/uncomfortable in the environment?
Just the opening speed
What kind of objects/creatures would you like to see floating on or swimming underneath the river?
Pleasant things that slowly morph from real things to creatures or sights from folklore.
Right now, the sides of the river are bare. What kind of places would you like the boat to travel to?
An exploration of a peaceful afterlife.
Can you imagine this game being transformed into a narrative game? If yes, what kind of narratives?
Any general suggestions?
Ok here's my pitch:
"You play a recently deceased soul floating down the river towards your afterlife (or reincarnation could be cool as well). It starts with you floating down the river of the mortal world and seeing the impact you had in your life (I think to keep with the theme, it would be more fairytale in it's altruism). Slowly your soul starts entering into the spirit world which has it's own beauty and welcoming atmosphere; death isn't so scary and it's merely just a passage. Maybe the things in the water are obstructions that link to the music like a rhythm game."
Surprisingly yes! At first I thought it wasn't but then as it picked up it worked well.
Weigh yes, speed could be a touch faster in the beginning as I wasn't sure if I was moving or not.
Yep! Felt fair and relaxing.
chill and meditative. Almost like a rock garden
I dig this music. Reminds me a lot of one of my favourite albums:
