Issues with connecting #3

I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly. I had a big ordeal with Linux (that's why it's been a while since you last heard from me). And I'm now back to a point where I can try and get this going.

Where I'm at is that I got it all set up again. Got datomic and datomicism installed then the first time I went to set it up I just completely forgot to start the rest server for datomic. So I was on the connection part trying to connect. I for some reason was stupid and was thinking the port was the same as the one I was presently at for datomicism (I know stupid). Anyway I got frustrated (I think I stayed up too late trying to get it going) and then after I'd left it and was away from my computer it dawned on me that I'd completely failed to start up the rest server for datomic and that that was my problem. So I got here thinking I'd figured it out. Got a datomic:mem db set up and got the REST server running then got into the datomic browser and went to connect and then found I'd input the alias and api wrong when I set up the REST server. I then went and closed the terminal with that service and launched a new one, that one I would put in the host and port and then the selection down arrow would show up on the selection dropdown "db:" part. When I'd click on it it would then show the db but I don't seem to be able to select it. I thought maybe my VM needs a reboot. I rebooted it, got everything going again, this time not screwing anything up (that I'm aware of) I go into datomicism in the connection button and it's saying it's connected (I believe, if I'm remembering right) prior to me choosing anything. When I first open the box it has the very last port number I tried in the previous session prior to restarting the virtual machine I'm working on.

I'm not sure how clear I'm being. What I'm basically saying is that it's looking like it's either remembering the last connection and defaulting to that or something like that OR I don't know what I'm doing.

Is there a way to disconnect or make a different connection?

Thanks for putting up with this. I'm really excited about this project. (wish I knew some js so I could try and troubleshoot with you!)

Thanks!

Another thing I forgot to ask.

I imagine that the drop down selection bar should, once something is selected, keep that selected Item visible. But when I attempt to select the database it doesn't seem to take and it just remains an empty selection box thing with the standard down pointing triangle arrow they always have. Also the OK button looks perpetually grayed out.

I very much want/plan to. Unfortunately I'm in the process of moving and it won't be until we get settled that I'll be able to give it a try. Likely next week. On Jun 28, 2013 6:51 AM, "Trevor Wennblom" notifications@github.com wrote:
