Search field contrast with textured background too low

I just noticed that the contrast between the border of the search field and the 
textured background 
is too low causing a slightly fuzzy appearance. I have attached two snapshots, 
one from Mac and 
one from Seaglass.

I can fix this. I actually have code to darken it. Perhaps not enough...

The issue here is that my checks for darkening the border are against a 
toolbar, not against a textured background. I'll have to figure some things. 
This is probably not the only issue with the way textured backgrounds are 
handled vs toolbars.
