I'm also experiencing this issue. Along with this issue the mod also causes an amd driver crash and makes my pc black screen. Once mc crashes (due to the original issue above) the black screen fixes itself.
This mod shouldn't require specific GPUs to run it. Even Sodium, a rendering optimization mod, runs perfectly fine with my current AMD card.
No need for an utterly broken mod.
I have the same problem. It says java.lang.RuntimeException: could not reload shaders
, and I think this is because the game freezes when loading something (it's a normal part of the process), and I think the mod refreshes asynchronousely, generating frames of data until the game is saturated and will eventually crash
