Missing graphic items

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Play the game
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see the android and the enemy droids and other moving objects 
in the ganme, but where I expect those, I see black squares. Besides that, 
the game seems to work normally.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2 on Android OS 1.6 on an Acer Liquid

Please provide any additional information below.
Seems the game is wonderfull. I hear only good things about it, so I hope 
you got a solution.

same here (acer liquid / andoir 1.6). lots of people complain on the web that 
game is
displaying black squares instead of android/enemy.
