Missing lightbulbs by tests #429

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have a testfixture with more than one test
2. add another test
3.

What is the expected output?
lightbulb appears by the test
What do you see instead?
no lightbulb (this is a random error, don't know the exact steps to repro)

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3/0/7/47 Server 2008 R# 4.5 RTM

Please provide any additional information below.
On a rebuild, the test show up in Unit Test Explorer, but still no
lighbulb. Closing the file, rebuilding the project, and reopening it will
usually fix it.

Not quite sure what the issue is here but could be related to IsUnitTestStuff
problem.

How often do you see this problem? Sometimes it takes a little bit for the
lightbulb
to appear while R# populates its caches.

I'm going to need some more help reproducing the issue since I can't seem to
myself.

I just reproduced it.
1) I have a test (everything is green), and I duplicate it by selecting it all
and
using CTL-D (R# copy/paste shortcut).  No lightbulb.
2) There was a build failure because I commented too much code out of the new
test
(not sure if this is a piece of the pzzle). Fixed that, got a clean build, no
lightbulb.
3) At this point, it DOES show up in R# unit test explorer (still no light bulb
on
the test)
4) Close the file, reopen the file. No lightbulb.
5) Close Visual Studio, reopen VS, open the solution. Lightbulb is back.

Gallio 3.0.7.71

Now to add a wrinkle. With my newly re-opened project I couldn't reproduce it.
 I
wonder if it only happens after working for a while (I had been working with my
project for about 3 hours now)

I still need a solid reproducible case because at this point I still don't know
what
I'm looking for.

ah, I thought you fixed it (hasn't happened in a while). go ahead and close
this. if
it comes back I'll open a new issue.

Thanks!
