reading a record no sync #1

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Made a list of subcategories(child) and categories (parent)
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When Creating a new record both categories and subcategories work fine but
when reading a created record only the category field shows correctly ,
subcategories shows the info from the 1 category 

To solve this the user has to change the parent combo in order the sync the
child combo

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

php5/mysql / winxp

Please provide any additional information below.
