Thank you. I was pretty lost on how to calculate this. It did seem like overkill, but didn't know another way to check if these numbers were real. I'm actually relieved to find out that I was in error.

With significance level as 90%, Baseline as 15% and Minimum detectable effect as 33.33%, the sample size would be 510 The Minimum Detectable effect can be calculated as follows : minimum_detectable_effect = 100 * 0.05 / 0.15 = 33.33
For sample size 510, the "no of weeks" calculation would be : bryce = 510 / 250. yellowstone = 510 / 507. Weeks of observation for Yellowstone National Park is ~ 1 week Weeks of observation for Bryce National Park is ~2 weeks
