No email preview (in email preview) and arrow key (in toast) #115

Unfortunately, I do not have "email preview" like the picture you put on your site and it just shows arrows without any email preview.

Also no arrow keys in "toast" window is seen.

Many thanks for your great effort specially about Gmail notifier plus

Please provide a link to a screenshot of what you're describing.

You didn't provide a link with that response. Did you try to attach an email to an email response? If so, that won't work. I would suggest not replying to the email notification that github sends you, but rather visiting the issue on the site itself.

OK I will visit github but I attached 2 pictures in prior email.

What version of Windows are you using, and what version of GNP?

Windows 7 starter (Eee PC Asus laptop) and I donno what GNP means.

GNP = Gmail Notifier Plus.

If you're not using the latest version (https://bitbucket.org/shellscape/gmail-notifier-plus/downloads) then you could try upgrading.

I've never worked with Windows 7 Starter Edition, so I couldn't say for certain if it's a problem with that specific version. Do other apps display the thumbnail previews correctly when you hover over their taskbar buttons?

My GNP is the latest version and I have downloaded from http://shellscape.org/ about a week ago.

I have installed some software which display the thumbnail and all worked correctly.

I found this article, http://liliputing.com/2011/08/simple-patch-removes-windows-7-starter-edition-personalization-restrictions.html, which outlines some of the limitations of Starter Edition. You could try that tool mentioned in the article to get your thumbnail previews to work correctly.

GNP uses system level APIs to set the thumbnail previews dynamically, rather than relying on the system to do it automatically. Based on what I'm reading, the limitations of Starter Edition are probably the reason you're seeing missing elements in the program.
