New emails don't show up in jumplist #58

In previous versions I was able to click on the title of an email in the jumplist to view the email. Don't see this in the latest version. Is this a bug, or was it just removed? I can still view the email in the taskbar preview, but clicking the email title in the jumplist was better for me.

Its still there, working fine for me. Try clearing your jumplist cache. On Nov 17, 2011 2:51 PM, "aznkid25" < reply@reply.github.com> wrote:

I used CCleaner to clear my jumplist cache. This is what I see: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h81/chinesebrother25/gmail.png

I get the number on the icon letting me know how many emails I have, but it doesn't actually show up in the jumplist for some reason. Is there another method I can use to clean the jumplist cache?

I'm running beta 2, this is how it looks http://gyazo.com/82fd109821714cce5b0cfb349eb0cb75

Right click on the taskbar, Start Menu Properties. Start Menu Tab Uncheck both of the options under Privacy. Click OK (May need to restart, dunno)

Go back in and check the taskbar option. Should have cleared all of your recent/jumplist stuff. Thats the only other method I know of.

This problem originally started when I installed beta 1, which didn't work b/c of the x64 issue. When I went back to the 2.3.1 stable version, that's when I started noticing that the email didn't show up in the jumplist. I also tried deleting the Gmail Notifier Plus folder in the appdata folder.

Well the appdata folder wouldnt have anything to do with the jumplist. If you were having issues with the old stable version and the jumplist, there may be something on your system hindering that. I couldn't put a finger on any one thing though, as the 'Default Account' entry is a custom category, just as the various email accounts are.

Try sending a few emails to yourself, see if maybe its just the one email that isnt showing up.

Not sure what else to recommend. Maybe hang on until the stable version and something will magically fix itself.

Looks like your suggestion of unchecking the boxes under privacy in the start menu properties, applying the changes, then re-checking them worked. Didn't have to restart. Thanks.
