LACHESIS on Chicago data #11

Hi, Do you think your LACHESIS pipeline could be applicable to Chicago ((Cell-free Hi-C for Assembly and Genome Organization) data? I imagine that the data produced by the Chicago methods should look very similiar to Hi-C data although maybe missing the very large insert reads compared to normal Hi-C. Thank you, Michel

Hi Michel,

You're quite right - the data for the Lachesis method is very similar to the data that Chicago uses. Dovetail Genomics was founded based on some of the same scientific principles that inspired Lachesis. If you have sequencing data from the Chicago method, you should be able to run it through Lachesis if you adapt it a little. On the other hand, in that case, you might want to just use Chicago - Dovetail has done a lot of great work in improving their methods to produce publication-quality de novo assemblies.

Cheers, -- Josh
