VTK import error with python x,y V 2.1.1 #22

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. import vkt throws some error that it cannot load some DLL
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

sorry for not mentioning the OS. It was Win 32 bit XP SP3

Have you installed matplotlib?
If not, could you install it:
http://www.pythonxy.com/dl.php?file=windows/matplotlib-0.98.3.exe

If it works after installing matplotlib, then it comes from missing VS7.1 DLLs.
If that's it, I'll upload very shortly a new version of VTK with these DLLs.
