Above EFI is forked from your EFI, I have fixed sleep & brightness issues and also audio issues which I were having with layout-id 30 (72 works better for me - perhaps this is specific to i7-8750H XPS 15s?). You can have a look at the EFI and integrate the changes to fix sleep & brightness in your EFI.

@kevinshroff i have the i7-8750H XPS 15 too, is this patch specific to the 4K or the 1080p UHD model? (I've got the 1080p version)

kevinshroff commented 5 years ago

Specific to 4K, but only because I based my modified config.plist on the config.plist that was intended for 4K XPS 15s from shenlinsl

attilagyorffy commented 5 years ago

@kevinshroff do you think this would apply to the non-4K version?

Probably not, seeing as brightness control (which can affect sleep) is implemented differently for 1080p XPS 15's, but the other aspects (sound) should be fine

You'll have to forgive me, I'm only two weeks in to this, but how would one go about fixing this for the 1080p version? I already applied this kext script: https://github.com/stevezhengshiqi/one-key-cpufriend and my processor is idling nicely around 800mhz. but i'd definitely like to get a REAL sleep option. What will changing the layout ID effect?
