I have split this package into several repositories:

kmers, a package of kmer (sketch) related operations.
unik provides k-mer serialization methods for the package.
bio/sketches provides iterators for k-mer and k-mer sketches.
bio/taxonomy, a package of NCBI taxonomy operations.
