Initial conversation with Marner yields mention of a "sorcerer". How could we know this if our memory is wiped? #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start the game.
2. Walk to book store.
3. Talk to Marner.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The conversation with marner should be consistant with our plot, but we
divulge that we know about "trouble with a sorcerer". How could this be if
we are supposed to have had our memory wiped?

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

I thought a sorcerer was mentioned in the note to self, available to the player
on
the beach.

PC could instead tell bookstore owner that he is an adventurer stranded on the
island
and short on money, to which the bookstore owner offers to pay him for
performing a
task. Lack of memory can then be mentioned in second encounter with Marner
(after
presumably developing some mutual trust), to which Marner suggests being able to
create the potion
