Side menu is unresponsive after performing a certain action #1562

A quicker way to reproduce the bug:

Create a new project using the PCAT tool
Afterwards, render the frontEnd and navigate through the side menu

I've created 5 starter projects after updating the starter to reference the release branch and on all projects, the side menu was responsive even after performing a certain action. I will close this and we will monitor the behaviour
