Oh ok, so there are no instructions for how to install it on a generic Linux
distro? If not, I can always go the VMWare route.
Thanks

Hi Alan,
We used to have instructions ... but it seemed to cause more support request on
our mailing lists than it solved.
Over the past few releases, we've focused on ensuring the packaging works
really well -- and that has cut down the post from people who tried to follow
the steps, made an error, posted, and it took a long series of e-mails back and
forth to narrow down the error.
We concluded that if we could optimize the time we spend improving
BigBlueButton itself, then that was the greatest benefit to the community.
Hence our past decisions to focus on FreeSWITCH over asterisk, to focus on
Ubuntu over CentOS, and to focus on packaging over step-by-step instructions.
Recommend you go the VMWare route. You'll have BigBlueButton running in 30
minutes or your money back.
