Problem loading certain widgets after reboot #353

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add widget to any home screen
2. Reboot phone
3. On reboot, widget will be replaced with black box with white text saying
"Problem loading widget"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Widget should be there as laid out and as chosen. Instead they are all replaced
by black box with white text saying "Problem loading widget". If another widget
is added, box turns into clone of other widget

What version of the product are you using? On what phone? What Android
version?
Standalone Market Version: ADW Launcher 1.3.6. Used on Motorola Atrix 4G,
running homebase v5.4a

Please provide any additional information below.
Only appears to happen with certain apps, not every app as I previously
thought. Apps I am trying are wifi manager, 3g watchdog pro, juice plotter.
Tested with analog clock and direct dial and it doesn't replicate with them.
I'm at a loss. I've tried reinstalling adw, resetting adw, deselecting the
screen cache, fixing permissions through CWM...doesn't work. Picture 1 is just
after a restart with just the calendar widget, picture 2 is after a restart
with a few other things on the screen.

It appears to have fixed itself after a few restarts. Strange bug. I don't know
if it had to do with my ROM change (I had just changed it before I installed
ADW) or just with a new installation of ADW, but yeah...It works now! Picture
is just after a restart not 5 minutes ago.

Are any of these apps that have the disappearing widget on the sdcard? If so,
they are not supposed to be on the sdcard because the widgets fail to load..
