Erased icon text will not remain erased. #384

What steps will reproduce the problem?  Not sure.

What is the expected output?
To have the erased text on my custom icons remain erased. 

 What do you see instead? 
Icon text reappears randomly on its own.

What version of the product are you using? 1.3.3.56
 On what phone? Motorola Droid Razr
 What Android version? 2.3.6

Please provide any additional information below.
