Help with the Springboard opening? #6

I have a Windows 7 laptop, and I was going to play a VN (obviously), but when I 
click on the VNR the mouse changes, and a large blue circle appears with an 
hourglass in it, but the Springboard never opens up.

I'm not sure how to fix it, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple 
times, only to have it continue doing the same thing.

try changing the Language for Non Unicode Programs to Japanese ( windows 
settings )
install uninstall vnr/install it again and then it should work ( at least thats 
what did it for me :) )

having the same problem have my non-unicode to Jap as well but still
