This is unfortunately an issue present on real intel/m1 macs since the first few Ventura betas. You can try modifying the native resolution using BetterDisplay for HiDPI display scaling to work properly. You may have to clear out cache display plist files (whichever are applicable): https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/m1-external-display-glitch.2271509/page-2?post=29588475#post-29588475
It'll generate a new display override entry in Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides
. I have an example for one in docs/resources/display overrides if you want another reference, though it was used for very basic testing.
After updating to macOS Ventura, with the current latest OpenCore bootloader, the UX582 ScreenPad does not have the 1920x550 resolution for HiDPI on macOS Ventura. (The base resolution for the ScreenPad is 3840x1100.)
On macOS Monterey and previous macOS versions, the HiDPI resolution was available for the ScreenPad.
