Same here...
I'm experiencing the same issue. Anyone got any solution to this?
2024-05-16T21:51:14.067Z - info: [ui] [fetchRepoRulesForBranch] unable to fetch repo rules for branch: main | repos/finsmart-labs/fs-internal-ops/rules/branches/main
Error: Although you appear to have the correct authorization credentials, the `finsmart-labs` organization has enabled OAuth App access restrictions, meaning that data access to third-parties is limited. For more information on these restrictions, including how to enable this app, visit https://docs.github.com/articles/restricting-access-to-your-organization-s-data/
I am already using the GitHub Desktop (Windows) version for the same organization. That works great without any problems. I know this one is a Fork, but is this the reason for this restriction? I work for 2 organizations in this one account. Asking both for permission might be a little problematic as that will include a lot of questions.
The thing is, if VSCode and NGROK can get the access, then why can't this app?
@Hridoy-EL this is a known issue specific to this fork (because it is separate to the upstream project): https://github.com/shiftkey/desktop/blob/linux/docs/known-issues.md#i-cannot-access-repositories-under-my-organization
Hey @shiftkey,
I tried that, but it still not working.
My organization granted me access.
But it still showing the same error:
Could you please tell me what might be the issue here or what I'm missing?
@shiftkey
The problem
after installing GitHub-desktop and authenticate my account. I can't clone my repos and if I added it locally i can't fetch or push. Despite i can do everything from the terminal and VsCode, and also i can clone my repos only the repos from my company can't clone it.
