GPS not connectable #151

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. enable GPS
2. launch geopaparazzi
3. click on GPS button

Message: "GPS not enabled"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

GPS being enabled :) When going to the compass, all found GPS satellites
are nicely shown as well as the position.

However, no way to enable GPS (since the last two versions of geopaparazzi).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Android on a Samsung Galaxy SPlus

I am not sure I understand. Let me recap how it should be.

1. you enable the gps from android OS
2. you launch geopaparazzi
3. at that point the gps icon (rounded rectangle with GPS written in it) is
orange, which means that it is on, but has no fix yet
4. once the gps has the fix it gets green

Are you running the 3.2.7 version?

When does the message: "GPS not enabled" popup? When you start geopap even if
the GPS is on?

Thanks

So I do:

1. I enable the gps from android OS
2. I launch geopaparazzi
3. at that point the gps icon (rounded rectangle with GPS written in it) is
orange,
4. I wait and check in the compass if I got the fix
5. yes, I have my position but the gps icon remains orange.

(I) info says that GPS no info yet...

I updated from Google Play yesterday.

If at the point the GPS has the fix you go in the map view and come back, does
the icon get green?

Unfortunately no, it remains orange forever... Should I enable debugging (how)?
